Our team

Dr. Bhatia grew up in Toledo, Ohio. Upon graduating high school she attended the University of Toledo, where she graduated cum laude.

She then went on to receive a scholarship to attend Ohio State University. She completed her degree and graduated in 2001. In 2001 Dr. Bhatia traveled to Texas and later completed her residency at the VA hospital in Temple, TX. She decided to open her first dental practice in 2005 and now opened her dental practice here in Leander in 2019.

Dr. Bhatia is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Central Texas Dental Society and Hispanic Dental Association.

She has made the Austin area of Texas her home, partially, because of her love for live music and festivals. Dr. Bhatia is also very passionate about volunteer services, especially, organizations that feed the homeless and aid victims of domestic violence. Kids Against Hunger, Safeplace and Asian Family Support Services, just to name a few.

In her spare time she loves spending time with her three children, twin boys and a daughter. She also has a passion for traveling and dancing. She has traveled all over including a Safari in Kenya, Italy, Greece, India and Mexico.

Originally from Pakistan, Dr. Khimani moved to the USA with her family right after finishing high school. She graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelors of Science in Biology with Summa Cum Laude. She then went to University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio and earned her DDS degree with distinction in Dental Education and Research.

Upon graduation, Dr. Khimani started her career in San Antonio, TX after which she moved to the greater Austin area. In her free time, Dr. Khimani enjoys spending time with her family,  traveling and trying new cuisines and restaurants.

Dr. Khimani is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry. She strives to take continuing education courses to learn about the latest advancements in dentistry. She enjoys treating children and loves educating them about their oral hygiene. Dr. Khimani and her team make sure that our patients have a great experience at their dental visit.

Dr. Mathue Faulkner was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah where he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Utah with a degree in Medical Biology.  During his undergraduate education, he took a two-year hiatus to volunteer as a missionary in Japan where he developed a love of service and community.  Upon returning to the U.S., he began working as an orthodontic assistant, and grew to appreciate how both service and community are intertwined with the orthodontic profession.

During dental school at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, Dr. Mathue was an active volunteer in many of the dental community outreach programs while also devoting time to genetic research for cleft lip and palate. After graduating near the top of his class, he continued his education by studying for an additional three years at the University of Nevada Las Vegas where he received his orthodontic certificate in 2011. While there, he also earned a Master’s of Science (M.S.) degree for his thesis on cytokine production in the gingival crevicular fluid of orthodontic patients. Dr. Mathue understands the importance of continuing his orthodontic education by staying abreast of the latest developments and trends in the field. As such, he devotes a significant portion of his free time to continuing education courses and seminars in order to provide the best and latest treatment to his patients. Dr. Mathue is driven by creating beautiful and healthy smiles that change the lives of his patients.

While Dr. Mathue is very passionate about orthodontics and the change it can make in a person’s life, he does have an exciting life outside of the office.  In his free time, he loves to spend time with his wife, Sarah; their two daughters, Olivia and Nora; as well as their two dogs, Henry and Enzo.  Growing up in Utah, he loves skiing, hiking, and cheering for the University of Utah most Saturdays in the fall (Go Utes!).  A bit of a self-proclaimed geek, one of his favorite hobbies is playing relatively obscure board games with his friends and family.

Originally from Upstate New York, Dr. Vyna Nguyen graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Molecular Genetics in 2006. She went on to finish her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2011 and completed one year of General Practice Residency in Allentown, Pennsylvania in 2012. After completing her studies, Dr. Vyna moved to Houston, Texas in 2012, where she met her husband, who is also a dentist. Together, they moved to Leander, Texas in 2016 where her husband opened a start-up dental practice.

Having practiced both general and pediatric dentistry for the past decade, Dr. Vyna realized she is best and is happiest at treating pediatric patients. She strongly believes in early prevention and hopes to be a role model for her younger patients in establishing healthy oral habits early on in their lives.

Dr. Vyna is excited to join Red Balloon Dentistry for Children, and to get to know her patients and their families. She is certified for Conscious Sedation, Pediatric Sedation and Stabilization, and is a Certified Bioclear Provider. She is passionate about taking the latest Continuing Education courses, and brings the latest dental technology and techniques to her patients. Outside of work, Dr. Vyna enjoys spending time with her family, geeking out with books, audibles and podcasts, and binging on Korean dramas. Fun facts about Dr. Vyna: She is ambidextrous. She is also fluent in Vietnamese.
