 Dr. Bhatia grew up in Toledo, Ohio. Upon graduating high school she attended the University of Toledo, where she graduated cum laude.

She then went on to receive a partial scholarship to attend Ohio State University. She completed her degree and graduated in 2001. In 2001 Dr. Bhatia traveled to Texas and later completed her residency at the VA hospital in Temple, TX. She decided to open her first dental practice in Temple, TX in 2005 and later in Austin, TX and Lago Vista, TX. She has made the Austin area of Texas her home, partially, because of her love for live music and festivals. Dr. Bhatia is also very passionate about volunteer services, especially, organizations that feed the homeless and aid victims of domestic violence. Kids Against Hunger, Safeplace and Asian Family Support Services, just to name a few. In her spare time she loves spending time with her three children, twin boys and a daughter. She also has a passion for traveling and dancing. She has traveled all over including a Safari in Kenya, Italy, Greece, India and Mexico.  As a pediatric dentist, I have the honor of interacting with the youth of the future. I see myself as someone that can have a positive impact on the next generation, by providing a comfortable, fun, and educational experience for both the child and their parents. I am someone that wants to be at the top of my field and am constantly striving to improve my knowledge so that my patients can benefit from having the best healthcare experience possible. It is very important that I am staying up to date with the newest research in pediatric dentistry, so that my patients can have the best experience and quality of treatment. To that end, I love to take continuing education courses with the top pediatric dentists, and apply that knowledge in practice.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

I am passionate about music, and it was a key decision in my moving to Austin, the live music capital of the world! I will be looking to continue my guitar lessons, and the steel drums in the future. I am an avid outdoorsman, and love to hike, kayak, and be out in nature. My first love was soccer, and will be looking forward to checking out some Austin FC soccer games as well. Outside of these activities, I hope to maintain an active lifestyle by biking, running, and working out.

 Originally from Upstate New York, Dr. Vyna Nguyen graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Molecular Genetics in 2006. She went on to finish her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2011 and completed one year of General Practice Residency in Allentown, Pennsylvania in 2012. After completing her studies, Dr. Vyna moved to Houston, Texas in 2012, where she met her husband, who is also a dentist. Together, they moved to Leander, Texas in 2016 where her husband opened a start-up dental practice.

Having practiced both general and pediatric dentistry for the past decade, Dr. Vyna realized she is best and is happiest at treating pediatric patients. She strongly believes in early prevention and hopes to be a role model for her younger patients in establishing healthy oral habits early on in their lives.

Dr. Vyna is excited to join Red Balloon Dentistry for Children, and to get to know her patients and their families. She is certified for Conscious Sedation, Pediatric Sedation and Stabilization, and is a Certified Bioclear Provider. She is passionate about taking the latest Continuing Education courses, and brings the latest dental technology and techniques to her patients. Outside of work, Dr. Vyna enjoys spending time with her family, geeking out with books, audibles and podcasts, and binging on Korean dramas. Fun facts about Dr. Vyna: She is ambidextrous. She is also fluent in Vietnamese.

 Dr. Kumar obtained her BDS degree in India. After she moved to USA along with her family, obtained her DDS degree from University Of Colorado School Of Dental Medicine. Being on top of her class she has been inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.


She has been in dental field for past 20 years treating patient from all ages. Dr. Kumar takes continuing education courses to keep herself current and upbeat.
