Sedation and Anesthesia

Nitrous Oxide (N₂O)

Nitrous oxide, commonly known as “laughing gas,” is a safe and gentle sedation option that helps children feel calm and relaxed during dental treatment. It works quickly, wears off fast, and allows patients to remain awake and responsive while easing anxiety and discomfort. N₂O is especially helpful for young or nervous patients, making dental visits more positive and stress‑free for both children and parents.

oRAL cONSCIOUS sEDATION

Oral conscious sedation is a gentle option that helps anxious or young patients feel calm and relaxed during dental treatment. Taken by mouth before the appointment, this form of sedation allows children to remain awake and able to respond while feeling drowsy and comfortable. It is a helpful solution for patients who may have difficulty sitting still or experience dental anxiety, allowing treatment to be completed safely and with less stress.

In certain cases, general anesthesia may be recommended for children who require extensive dental treatment or have special healthcare needs. This approach allows care to be completed safely and comfortably in a controlled setting while the child is fully asleep, ensuring a stress‑free experience for both the patient and their family.
